As of 29th January 2022, there will be new additions and/or changes to the Highway Code centred around three main points:

  1. A Hierarchy of Road Users is being introduced
  2. A change in priorities regarding pedestrians
  3. Drivers will be required to give priority to cyclists in certain situations
